Setting Intentions for 2026: A Softer Strength in the Year of the Horse

As we have stepped into 2026, I’m not approaching this year with rigid resolutions or extreme goals. Instead, I’m setting intentions rooted in sustainability, intuition, and self-trust. This year feels less about pushing and more about moving forward with purpose.

In Chinese astrology, 2026 is the Year of the Horse, a symbol of freedom, momentum, vitality, and inner power. The Horse teaches us to trust our instincts, move with confidence, and honor our own rhythm rather than racing someone else’s. It’s about strength that’s grounded, not frantic. Independent, not isolating. Energetic, but deeply embodied.

With that energy in mind, here’s what’s in for me in 2026.

Sauna 3–4x a Week

Not for extremes or trends, but for nervous system regulation, circulation, and deep rest. The sauna has become a ritual, a place where I slow down, sweat out what I no longer need, and reconnect with my breath.

Low-Impact Workouts

This is the year of longevity over intensity. Pilates, yoga, walking, mobility, and strength that supports my joints and hormones. The Horse reminds us that endurance matters more than sprinting.

No Fad Dieting

I’m leaving restriction culture behind. 2026 is about nourishment, consistency, and listening inward. Food is fuel, information, and pleasure, not punishment.

Normalizing Saying No

Protecting my energy is a form of self-respect. This year, “no” is not something I justify, soften, or apologize for. The Horse is fiercely independent and knows when to keep moving and when to stop.

Listening to Your Body, Not (Just) the Internet

Trends come and go, but your body speaks every day. This year is about rebuilding trust with myself and honoring cues over algorithms.

Syncing Workouts With Our Cycles

Especially as women, our bodies are cyclical, not linear. Training, resting, and creating in harmony with hormonal phases isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.

Guilt-Free Rest Days

Rest is productive. Rest is healing. Rest is part of progress. In the Year of the Horse, pauses are what allow us to run farther.

Simple Skincare Routines

Less product, more consistency. Skin thrives when we stop overcorrecting and start supporting its natural rhythm.

Low-Histamine Foods

Choosing foods that help my body feel calm, clear, and energized. This isn’t about perfection, it’s about awareness.

My Intention for 2026

To move through this year with clarity, softness, and quiet confidence. To trust my pace. To choose rituals over rules. To honor my body as my home.

The Horse doesn’t ask for permission to move forward. It listens, senses, and goes. That’s the energy I’m carrying into 2026.

Here’s to a year of aligned momentum, grounded strength, and intentional living.
